Casa Matute (Ave. 10, 100m south of Supreme Court). Formely the palatial home of exiled Venezuelan President Matute Gómez, this dance club offers a different atmosphere practically every night

El Pueblo. This Spanish colonial style shopping center is also one of San José’s hottest night spots.

Dynasty and Parthenon. In Centro Comercial del Sur. Parthenon is open late after other discos close. Dynasty plays lots of reggae and socca.

El Cuartel de la Boca del Monte. One of the most popular bars in San José. Often packed, especially on nights with live music.
